The challenge
The seller had a supplier and a product idea (a grooming tool) and had already lost one launch to a listing that never ranked. Budget was $9,000 for stock and ads combined, which does not survive a wrong keyword strategy.
What we did
- Fee and margin check first: the packaged size sat one tier above small standard; a redesigned mailer box moved it down and saved $1.05 per unit.
- Listing built around three keywords with proven volume and weak competition, with images planned for the questions in competitor reviews.
- Launch ads capped at the break-even ACOS from day one; Vine for the first 30 reviews rather than any review scheme.
- Weekly ranking and inventory review so restocks arrived before stock-outs.
The results
Month one: 140 units. Month three: 620. Month five: 1,200 units at a 24% net margin, ranking on page one for all three launch keywords. The second product launched in month seven on the same playbook.
