The order most sellers follow
Email is the one marketing channel you own outright. The list is yours, the account is yours, and every message goes to someone who bought from you or asked to hear from you. We set up and run email for ecommerce brands and service businesses on BeaconPulsar, Klaviyo, Mailchimp or Brevo. We work inside your own account, so the list, the flows and the history stay with you whatever happens.
Who it is for
This service suits a business that already has customers and a website or online store, but sends email rarely, or only when there is a sale on. It fits a Shopify or WooCommerce store and a service business that collects enquiries. You do not need a big list. The automations below start working from the first subscriber, and we add sign-up forms so the list grows while they run.
The four automations
An automation is a series that sends itself when a customer does something. In the first month we write, design and switch on four of them:
- Welcome series. Two to four emails for a new subscriber: who you are, what you sell, and a reason to place a first order while the interest is fresh.
- Abandoned cart. A reminder, and later a gentle nudge, for a shopper who added a product and left. It recovers sales that were nearly made.
- Post-purchase. Thanks, delivery and care tips, and a review request at the right moment. It answers the usual questions before they are asked and makes a second order more likely.
- Win-back. A short series for customers who have not bought for a while, with a clear reason to come back.
A service business gets the same idea in its own shape: a welcome series for new enquiries, a follow-up after a quote, and a check-in after the job is done.
How a month looks
Once the automations are live, each month runs to the same rhythm. We agree a short campaign plan with you around your launches, seasons and offers. Then we write and design two to four campaigns, send each one to you before it is scheduled, and send it at the time your list is most likely to open. Between campaigns we test one thing at a time, such as a subject line or a send time, and keep what wins.
Deliverability, in plain words
A message only earns if it reaches the inbox. Before the first send we set up three records on your domain, called SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Together they prove to Gmail, Outlook and other providers that the mail really comes from you. We also remove addresses that bounce or never open, because sending to them hurts the rest of the list. If your list lives in an older tool, we move it across and check it on the way.
What we need from you
- Access to your email platform, or permission to open an account in your name.
- Access to your domain settings, or someone who can add three records for us.
- Your logo, brand colours, product photos and any offers you are happy to run.
- A quick look at each campaign before it goes out.
How results are reported
Every month you get a short report. It shows the revenue your platform attributes to email, split between automations and campaigns, with open rate, click rate, unsubscribes and list growth. It also says what we tested, what we learned and what we plan next. We walk you through it on a call if you would like one.
What to expect
Automations tend to show results sooner than campaigns, because they reach people who are already interested. Campaign results build more slowly, as the list grows and learns to trust your messages. We will not promise a revenue figure before we have seen your list, your products and your traffic. What we do promise is a careful setup, honest numbers and steady work every month.
